Long Island Deer Service

Minimize property damage caused by deer

Reduce the spread of tick borne illnesses like Lyme Disease

Limit the number of deer-vehicle collisions

We are a group of licensed bow hunters living on Long Island with over 30 years of experience.  We offer a deer management service to Long Island property owners focused on removing nuisance whitetail deer who have come in conflict with people on your property.  Due to a lack of natural predators and mild winter weather, Long Island's deer population is growing rapidly.  This growth has led to increased damage to landscaping / crops, the spread of tick borne illnesses like Lyme Disease and deer-vehicle collisions.  We are committed to managing Long Island's deer population for the benefit of both people and deer.

We operate during the Long Island bowhunting season of October 1st - January 31st.  We do not charge for our services aside from access to the property and permission to hunt.  We are volunteers who do not profit from the service and pay all of our own expenses. We are simply passionate about conservation and focused on reducing Lyme Disease and vehicle collisions for the benefit of all Long Islanders.

We strive to build long term relationships with property owners.  We are respectful of the landowner's property and leave it as we found it.  We abide by all state hunting regulations and any rules established with the property owner.  We absolve the property owner of any liability per the laws of New York state governing hunting on another person's private property.

All meat harvested is consumed.  We donate to the Venison Donation Coalition, a NY state program which provides food to families and individuals in need. We are committed to using our natural resources to provide for the hungry.  Participating property owners may also keep as much venison from the harvest as they like.  We will have the meat processed locally and delivered professionally packaged and on ice.

If interested, please email us at lideerservice@gmail.com to schedule a consultation.  We will conduct a walk through of the property with you to inspect the damage and develop a plan to remove the problem deer.
